Fun Food

We like to keep it interesting at our house so every now and again we come up with ways to make eating food fun.

Trev told the kids they were going to eat cupcakes for dinner and so they did.  Its meatloaf cooked in cupcake pans and then topped with colored mashed potatoes.  My kids loved it.

This dinner is called brains and blood.  They ate spaghetti out of a bread bowl painted like a face, and they drank a blood smoothie.  My kids talked about it for days.

Soggy Jog

Wet n Wild finally opened back up in Vegas and we enjoyed it a lot this summer.  One weekend they had a race/obstacle course there called the Soggy Jog that we signed up for.  It was supposed to be a 5K but turned out to only be a 1 miler.  It was fun still.

We had scheduled a babysitter for all day so after the race we grabbed lunch and went back to his parents house to get ready.  We then went shopping, watched a movie, and ate dinner.  We ate some of the best sushi I have ever had at a place called Goyemon.  It was an awesome day of just hanging with the hubby and remembering the good ole days of doing whatever you want whenever you want to.

Date night

With 5 kids now, our date nights have gotten less and farther in between.  We lucked out though cause Trev scored UFC 162 tickets from his old work.  At first I didn't know if I would want to go see it live but it was awesome.  The energy of a live fight is indescribable.  It was even crazier cause the champion of 7 years lost his title. I think he deserved it cause he was being a cocky and disrespectful.  It was crazy to watch him get knocked out!

I love that I get to spend my life with my best friend!
Love ya Babe!!!!

New Motto

Some one posted this on Facebook and it just touched me.  It is what I want my new motto to be.  I try to think of this when I feel my self getting frustrated with my kids.

Wet N Wild

We got wet n wild season passes this year and the kids love it.  It is smaller than I had thought it would be but the kids are in heaven there.  I love the area with all the slides for little kids to play in.

Huntington Beach 2013

We wanted to take a family trip this summer but with 5 small kids and Trev being in law school  it kind of limits the possibilities.  We decided we would drive to California Friday night after Trev got off work and then play at the beach all Saturday and drive home that night.  It was a fun trip but glad we kept it short.

All the kids in the hotel room

The twins loved the beach.  They just crawled around and played with all the sand toys.  They also loved the water.  It was a little cold but they didn't mind. They loved when the waves came up and got them.

Despicable Me 2

Sometimes my boys just need a mommy outing with out the twins, so we went to see Despicable Me 2.  They loved it and as long as they have popcorn they sit through the whole movie.

KK's New Hair Cut and favorite project

KK had been saying for over a year that she wants her hair cut short but always chickens out, until last week.

I think she looks so cute but also older which I don't like.

In science last year, KK learned out to make quicksand and wanted to try it at home.  We did and it was actually really cool.

I love this face...it's such a girl face when we touch something gooey.

4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July this year at Tina's house.  We swam and ate all day and then did fireworks at night.

If you noticed in the previous picture of Corbin he was not wearing shoes.  Yes...we should get parent of the year award.  Anyways, he was holding a sparkler and walked on the ashes that had fallen to the ground.  I felt so bad. We took him to the doctor the next day and got cream for it, but even now two weeks later it isn't completely healed.
