March Misc

March Misc....

Aidan's first time doing fast offerings

Golden Knights made it into Stanley Cup playoffs

KK went to High School Freshman orientation and signed up for electives.  Then did she get so big.  I know in a blink of an eye she will be graduating.  I still remember my first day of High School.

Aidan joined a special blue at school.. the elite 8.  You have to run the mile 3 different times in under 8 minutes.  I am so proud of how hard he pushes himself once he sets his mind to something.

Went to Great Grandpa's 90ths bday in St. George and grabbed lunch on way home

Aidan had to get his 7th grade shots....he was a little worried about it.

Tina is doing so well in nursing school and is about to graduate.  He was inducted into a special group since she had done so well.

Soccer Soccer Soccer

I feel like I eat and breath Soccer.  KK is the manager for Aidan's middle school soccer team.  Aidan is on 2 soccer teams and the twins are on a school team.  We have soccer 6 days a week. Things we do to keep our kids active.

Twins at soccer practice.

It was raining so hard one game but being the good moms we are we sat and watched.  We were drenched by the end.

Valley of Fire Field Trip

I love going on field trips with my kids and love that they still are excited for me to go. I went with Corbin to the Valley of Fire.  It was fun chasing them around all day.  He loves to explore so it was a hard for him to have to stay close but it was a lot of fun.

Heart And Soul Award

The twins were awarded the HEART and SOUL Award at school.  It is for kids who show kindness and treat everyone with respect.

A New Family Member

We added a new member to our family and we are smitten.  His name is Copper.  Aunt Whitney had him and felt like she should give him away so we gladly took him off her hands.  He is so loved...many a little too much by the boys.  He sleeps with KK and is her little baby.  He goes every where with us...I can't believe I like a dog...never thought that would happen.

Grandpa Slack in hospital

It's hard to accept the first time you realize your parents are getting older and are not able to do all the things they once did.  Also that you just take for granted that they will always be here.  My dad had a stroke and was having a hard time speaking.  They brought him to ER and he was there for 3 days and they ran multiple tests.  We went to keep him company for a few hours.

And may or may not of had a puppet show...at least made plans of what it would be it we did.

Life Update

We have been in this new house exactly a year.  I have a hard time with change and so I am just now starting to feel like this in my home.  I just loved my other house so much so it was a drastic change for me.  They boys found a love of hockey and play it daily in our home.  We are jus now getting around to getting our backyard complete.  It has just been dirt.  We just got our concrete poured and the landscapers are starting today to put in our grass and trees.  I can't wait for them to have a place to go play especially with how nice the weather is becoming.

Trev is still working for Alverson Taylor.  He has been there for 4 years.  He is in the process of maybe starting a new job but so far nothing is set in stone.  He is in the Elder Quorum Presidency.  He is trying his hand at making his own suit shirts. I love how he is always learning and trying new things.

KK is the manager for Aidan's middle school soccer team.  She isn't playing soccer this season cause of her knee.  They have grown close this year and I love watching them. It is nice to have harmony and not fighting most to the time now.  She is a Mia Maid so no longer with me (which I think she loves).  She is getting straight A's in all her honor classes.  She quit piano (which I am a little sad about) but is looking forward to learning photography in high school.

Aidan is playing on 2 soccer teams...one for middle school and one for REC.  He just got the priesthood and now passes the sacrament each week.  He is super smart and is getting straight A's.  He is really good at drawing. He helps me so much around the house and loves to help the twins.

Corbin is starting to do really well in school.  The beginning of the year was a little rough but he seems to have the expectations and rules down and follows them pretty well.  He is on the schools track team and loves it.  He is starting to babysit for 20 mins here and there and loves the responsibility.  He is on outdoors kid.  He thrives when he can be outside (another reason I am excited about my backyard)

Davyn is my shy kid and has such a tender heart.  He doesn't like the attention. He is super smart and remembers just about anything you tell him.  He is reading like a superstar. He is obsessed with hockey and constantly keep track our our scores and where we lie on the division.  He is my athlete and will be outside by himself practicing shooting on goal.

Jade is my outgoing one. he is my social butterfly. He is my creative one who loves to color and draw.  He is also obsessed with hockey and constantly asks the scores.  He plays soccer and is really good.  He is my rule follower and with do what you ask

I am in the Young Women's as a Beehive advisor.  I keep the fort down while the kids are at school.  I volunteer at the school often and am trying to figure out what I want to go back to school for. I want to finish my degree but not sure in what.

These are before and I will post more when it is finished

Sunday Dinner at GMA and Papa's

We love dinner at G Ma's on Sunday.  My boys love these magnet building tiles she has.

She is also in the process of packing up and moving so the kids used her nooks for some book reading

Lovely Saturday

Sometimes it is nice to have a low key Saturday...

It started with me having a nice 6 mile run down the canyon.  We then went to Trista's house where Brooklyn made us breakfast.  I then ran the Corbin to a bday party.

After Trista's we picked up KK's friend and Corbin and brought them home.  They are such dorks.  They went down the stairs superman style and then laid there laughing

I then took KK and her friend to a movie while the boys did their sand art.
We ended the night with me and Trev going to dinner to discuss changes that might be happening with his job.  It hard making grown up decisions.  Good thing we have a source to go to for guidance and direction. Not sure how I would make it without the knowledge I have...so blessed!
