KK Spelling Bee

KK was chosen to be apart of the school spelling bee.  She made it by being the last one in her classroom to spell certain words correctly.  She was very excited and nervous since she would be going up against 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.  We practiced for weeks only to find out the day of the spelling bee we were practicing the wrong set of words.  So we spent an hour before the spelling bee crazily going over her new set of words.  She did great and got through the first page and a half.

She made it to the 3rd round and did a fantastic job.  She did get embarrassed and started to cry but you could just feel the pressure all the kids were feeling and I felt so bad for them.

We walked across the street and got her ice cream then came back for her to get her award.

I am so proud of her for all the handwork and time she put into preparing for the spelling bee.

3 little boys

With KK and Aidan being gone at school all day it leaves me at home with my 3 little boys to entertain.  It has been so nice lately so we have been doing a lot more outside.

The other day we took a bike ride to Great Grandpa and Grandmas house since it is so close.  Great Grandpa made fresh squeezed orange juice for him and Corbin.  My boys love going over there.  We are so blessed to have them live so close to us.

We had some Elmo books at our house that Davyn became attached to.  He started having to take them everywhere with him.  I looked up on a yard sale site and found a couple of elmos for sale.  When I showed them he was beyond excited.  I created a monster though because now all they want to watch, read and bring with them everywhere is Elmo.  It is quite cute.

February Randomness

February came and went before I know it this year but here are some random moments I was able to catch.

Riding bikes and enjoying the beautiful weather...

KK and Aidan

Corbin

Twins eating popsicles while watching the kids ride their bikes

My friend brought this to the park and had rigged it so it went super fast.  Corbin loved it as he sped around.

Jade and Davyn enjoying a new park

Jade didn't have buckles on his big chair and would always climb out.  This was the day I got the seat belt in the mail and put it on.  He doesn't like it but I do

Davyn picking flowers

All my boys love to eat frozen berries but when they melt they make a huge mess and they like to decorate themselves with it.  Davyn is no exception.

KK has been asking to go back to crystal palace so when she go invited to a bday there I couldn't say no.  It was the first bday party I actually dropped her for and left but she loved it and had a blast.

Happy Valentines Day

This Valentines Day was pretty low key but I still had to get a little gift for everyone with a note telling them reasons why they were loved. I am so blessed to have the kids and husband that I do. They truly bring me so much happiness,

31st bday

Trevor turned 31.  He has been so busy this semester since he is taking 5 classes and is only 10 months away from graduating.  He had school on his birthday so the kids made cards for him to let him know how much they love him.

We did go out for his birthday with his parents, Peck, Kel and Grandma G.  We went to Kona Grill and went and saw Monument Men.  It was good!  We are blessed to have such wonderful family!

32nd Bday

I turned 32.  I am not quite sure how I got this old but that doesn't matter because I am getting old.

My family and I met up at the park and let the kids play

I did go out with my hot hubby but we never seem to get any pictures together but trust me I am one lucky lady to be married to such a hunk!!!!  We tried some place new called Kona Grill.  It was so good and then we just did some light shopping. Nothing big but still fun!

Faith Factor

I had a mutual a few weeks make called "Faith Factor".  They had to find scriptures about faith and tell us what it teaches and then they had a challenge. It was a lot of fun.  I decided to do this with the kids for FHE one night and it was a blast.  I changed the scripture part from them looking up scriptures to me describing someone from the scriptures and they had to guess who.  They loved the challenges. I didn't get pictures of all of them but here are two

Eyeball....they had to skin an orange only using their teeth.

Blow a cotton ball with straw and try to get it past your opponent.

I say it was a huge success and the kids had a blast.
