Corbin's Surgery

Corbin was born with a hernia that they said might close up by itself.  The doctors have watched it over the years and said it was fine but now that he is getting to puberty age it was starting to collect fat and liquid so they needed to close it up.

Dad gave him a stuffed vader to bring him comfort.  He was so nervous.

He did great with the IV

It was so funny watching him wake up from surgery.  He kept holding his breath or staring ahead to keep his eyes open to force himself to wake up.

He took it easy for a few days and got lots of rest and love.

Here are the leftovers of his chocolate covered strawberries

Life for the last few months

Here is just a reminder of what the Summer and early Fall brought my family.

Dishwasher won’t drain and clogged

Sink leaked and had to be replaced

Check engine light on and valve had to be replaced

Dryer broke bought and new one but it was smashed in side

Window shattered by BB gun

House flooded and did whole new remodel

Backyard mushy grass and still not fixed

2 Moles precancerous and have to be dug out

Kks car gets hit

Second leak in laundry room

Brand new carpet stuck in rainstorm

Copper hurt his paw had to take to vet

Broke KK's computer screen and would be $400 to replace

Corbin had hernia surgery

Tina finalized divorce

Toresa went to rehab

Tami torn tendon in foot and couldn't walk or drive

Trista’s baby Ember passed away

My Moms sister Aunt Janet found out had cancer

So this summer was a lot but I tried my best to enjoy the moments, focus on what I could, not get to overwhelmed with what I still had to do....and breathe.

I think it is during these times it shows the true character of someone and it is an opportunity to see where I can improve and how far I have come.  I am grateful for family and a Heavenly Father who is always there to help even with such temporary problems. He loves and cares about what we care about.  I just have to get better about using my agency to include him more because he loves us enough to not force himself into our lives but waits for us to invite him in.

Corbin Date with Legos

I love spending one on one time with each of my kids so when things come along one of them likes it is awesome.  Vegas was having a Lego Brick show so we bought some tickets and went.  It was cool to see all the different kind of things they have and get to use some of them.  We built glow in the dark stuff.

Preston was there with his friend so we hung out with them for most of it.

Building a race car for the race track

At the end they had an oculus display they had to try out
I love Corbin so much and love watching his creativity and imagination.  He comes up with the coolest and funniest things.

Imagine Dragons

My kids have never been to a concert so when the Imagine Dragons had them on sale for super cheap I jumped on the chance so they could all experience their first concert together.  We invited Gma and Papa to come along.  It was so good and defiantly a good one to ease them into concerts.  Davyn started not feeling well towards the end so we left a few songs early.

Ember Jason Rich

Ember Jason Rich was born On Sept 8th after an emergency c section.  We didn't know if she was gonna make it through delivery so we rushed to the hospital so her sisters could meet her.  She was so small and precious.  She was so quiet but once her sisters started holding her she started making noises to let you know she was there.

Layla was so excited to meet her and loved to hold her

She was able to make it home and survived until the next night.  She was a fighter and so precious.  I am so grateful for the knowledge that we have a life after this one and that we will see her again.  She only lived a few hours but her life will have lasting impressions forever.  I don't always understand his plan but I do have faith that he does have a plan and loves us each so much.

Corbin Modeling

It's hard being so cute sometimes. Corbin is surrounded by many girls cousins so some how he always ends up being their model.  I love his smile.
