After my sister passed I was having a hard time and then to top it off Corbin got sick and threw up.  He didn't make it to the toilet so it got everywhere.  I just couldn't handle it so KK and Trev took over and cleaned it up....gloves and all.

Where I end up each day after I get through homeschool....never having quiet time gets hard sometimes so I go hide in my bed.

Tawnya Passed Away

My sister Tawnya passed away.  It was all of a sudden.  She wasn't feeling very well so my mom went to go check on her and found her in her bed.  It looked like she passed away peacefully in her sleep.  My mom always picked Tawnya up on Monday morning and would take her to run all her errands .  We decided to all meet that next day because it was Monday and hang out with my mom to run errands.  It was a surreal experience.  We were able to get her funeral arrangements set up so  my mom wouldn't have to do it herself.  

Tawnya was buried in Utah so we drove up there so we could dress her body.  I had a peaceful experience while there that let me know she was ok and confirmation that Heavenly Father was there for us.  

This is how I imagine the reunion went.  I know she battled mental illness while in this life but know she will be made whole in the next one.

Her funeral was small but beautiful.  We were able to sign the casket and leave her messages.

Our cousins were kind enough to put a small luncheon together for us since we were traveling from out of town.

For Christmas the kids got a coupon book with different type of coupons.  The one they liked the best was dates with the parents.  They get to choose where to eat and what to do.  I took Davyn on a date and Trevor took Jade on one.

Temple

One of the hardest things with Covid is how everything shut down...including temples.  I would never imagine I would see a day when I couldn't go to church or attend the temple. It was something I definitely took for granted.  They are slowly starting to open things back up.  Now you can go to the temple for your own ordinances.  One of my girls from young women's was going on a mission and so went to take out her endowments and invited me.  I was so excited that after almost a year I was able to walk in those doors.  There is power and strength that comes from wonderful building and I loved being able to go back. It was different because our small group were the only ones there but the spirt was strong.  I am grateful for the knowledge I have and for the covenants I have made.

G Ma and Papas house

It has been the Waite family tradition to go over to the grandparents house every Sunday night for dessert and to hang out.  When Trev's grandparents moved to Utah we were so sad to not have this anymore.  It took some getting used to but now we see G Ma and Papa almost every Sunday.  My kids expect it and get mad when we don't.  Dan and Andrea are in a rental home while their house is being built and it is on the smaller side so we stopped going over and they usually come to ours.  A couple of weeks ago, we needed to get out of the house so we just showed up on their doorstep unannounced....and now we seem to be doing that each week.  I love traditions and hope my kids keep it up when I get older.
