Grandma Slacks bday

My mom turned 71 so we got together for her bday.  I am grateful I got to be raised by such an amazing woman.  She is the most Christ like person I know and try to emulate her in my life.

 

Date Night

Life gets crazy and busy but it's nice to have friends you have grown up with that you can meet up with.  We don't see them often enough but when we do it's like no time had passes at all. It is always a fun time with Hollie and Nelson.  

 

Life Lessons

 Parenting is not for the faint of heart.  It is constant and you are always wanting to do what is right and best for each kid but most of the time you don't know what that is.  I am glad for the growth I have made as a parent.  I am definitely not perfect and am still learning.  I am grateful for the help from my Heavenly Father who whispers and leads me in my parenting.  Aidan and Crew gave me a perfect opportunity to parent and teach and will be something I am sure we talk about when they have kids.
