Texas Girls Trip 2019

I love my girls trips.  They make me feel normal and help me rejuvenate and appreciate what I have waiting for me back home.  I am lucky to have a husband who supports me and hold down the fort while I am away.  Our good friend Michelle moved to Texas a few years back and built a custom home so we flew in to see her and her new house.

She picked us up and we headed to Pioneer Woman a couple of hours away.

We ate too much food when we got there

and that night we had a little too much fun daring people to eat it

The next day we did some shopping and exploring the little town

The next day we got some pedicures and went to the movies

I love these ladies. They inspire me to be better all the while letting us have fun and laugh more than my abs like.  I am blessed!

KK over Christmas break made me all these cards I am supposed to open at different times.  I love how creative and thoughtful she is.

I don't; get to see my baby brother Tc very often so we made a date to see their new house and go to dinner.

Had a day date with tina.  We went to lunch and movie.  As we were walking in to the movie it was raining so she bundled up.

Art Class

Jade is my creative and loves to draw kid.  At our school they were offering and after school art class...well I didn't want Jade to go alone so I signed up Corbin and Davyn.  Each week they stay after and learn a new technique.  They have loved all their different projects.  I have loved an extra 2 hours to get things done.

Aidan got the priesthood

The church made changes to the age boys can get the Aaronic priesthood.  They can get it in January of the year they turn 12 so Aidan was able to get it 8 months earlier.  It was a fun weekend. Whits family was in town for a soccer tournament so they kids loved having all their Waite cousins together.

And then Crew and Jude spent the night...not sure how many more nights all 7 kids will sleep in same room.

St. George Hald Marathon

I signed up for the St. George Marathon while ago and we decided to make if a family get away so we booked a hotel room.  As it got closer, we decided to make it just the 2 older boys.  Aidan was going to try and run the half with me and Trev and Corbin were going to run the 5K.  We went up Friday night, checked into the hotel room, got our packet, and went to dinner and ended the night in the pool/hot tub.  It was so fun hanging with them and having alone time with them.  

The next morning Aidan and I went to the race and met Peck and Dan there.  Aidan did amazing and ran almost the whole thing.  We made it in 2 hours and 28 minutes.  I was so impressed with his determination and motivation.

When we reached the 9 mile marker we got a text from Trev and Corbin....

It was them at mile marker 7.  They were right behind us and decided last minute to run the whole 1/2 Marathon.

They finished it in 2 hours 45 minutes.  I was blown away.  Trev said he was holding Corbin back and he would of ran it so much faster.  

I love watching my kids push themselves to do hard things.  They are amazing.

We finished the day off with lunch with Grandma and Grandpa.  I love these moments!!!
