Christmas Morning

My kids were so excited for Christmas this year.  They woke up and say as patiently as they could while we woke Grandpa Slack up to come join us.

Corbin, Aidan and KK finding their big gift from us.  Corbin got a motorized car. Aidan got a bike.  KK got a camera.

The twins woke up later so they opened their presents by themselves.  They loved the wrapping paper.

As my kids get older I think Christmas gets more fun.  I am so blessed to be the mommy to my 5 babies!!!

Christmas Eve

I love love love Christmas Eve.  Probably because I love traditions and Christmas Eve is filled with them.  This year we had my dad over to join in on the fun with us.

This year we did change up tradition.  We usually make homemade pizza but since Trevor and I don't really eat it we took a family vote and changed it to Pho.  My kids love it!!!

We then watched the Nightmare Before Christmas before we went to bed.  My dad spent the night so he could wake up and watch the kids open up presents.

Park Christmas Eve

I try to take advantage of Trevor being out of school for a couple of weeks by taking the kids out as much as possible.  We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather on Christmas eve and go to the park and eat lunch.

KK's new thing to do in pictures is to throw up a peace sign so Trevor followed her lead.

Gingerbread houses for Santa

This Christmas was kind of crazy with the twins so we simplified where ever we could.  Each year we make Gingerbread houses and then we make a treat for Santa.  This year we combined the two and we made our Gingerbread houses for Santa's treat.

My kids eat so much candy while making the houses I am surprised any actually makes it onto the house....especially Corbin's.  I literally had to take his hand with candy and place it onto his house.  He had fun so that's what counts.

KK strategically placing her candy

Aidan strategically placing one piece of candy on his house and then one into his mouth.

Trev was on camera duty

Finished products....by the way Santa loved his treat.  He ate probably half the houses.

KK School Christmas Performance

KK's school had a Christmas performance for all of second grade.  It was really cute to see all the kids dressed in their pj's with their reindeer hats.  They sang 4 or 5 different songs to us.  It was cool to see them sing and dance.

Springs Preserve

We went to Springs Preserve this year with G Ma and Papa for the Christmas activities.  I have to say I was not impressed. It definitely was not as good as it had been in years passes but my kids didn't seem to notice.

We saw Santa Clause, went on a slide, played in the fake snowfall,  walked the gardens, got faces painted and did a craft.

Here they are making their craft and eating their sugar cookie they decorated.

Gift of Lights

We started a tradition last year to go and see the Gift of lights at the Speedway.  My kids love to go and see all the cool lights and I love it cause we can do it in our pj's.

We let all the kids climb into the front seat while we drive around.  Jade was sleeping so their are only pictures of Davyn.

I love starting traditions!

Sugar cookies

My kids love to bake and I am sad to say we don't do it very often but when we do they are beyond excited.  This year we made Sugar cookies for our goodies to take to our friends.  They loved cutting out their shapes and decorating them.

I love those faces

Corbin enjoyed eating all the frosting and sprinkles.  I am not sure if any actually ended up on a cookie.

The twins enjoyed watching them while they ate their dinner.

Gingerbread houses at school

I love going to KK's school to help out in her classroom, but I don't get to do it as much as I would like to so when it does happen we are both excited.

They were making gingerbread houses with lots of yummy treats and needed some parents to come help out.
