Family fun

My sister Tami was in town from North Carolina so we made plans to get together at my dads house and let the kids play.

 

My kids ended up so dirty but had so much fun.

Twins turn 1

The twins turned one and we had a low key family celebration.

Father and Sons Camp Out

Our ward had a father and sons camp out once a year but Trev didn't want to go where they were camping so he tweaked the plans.  He would still have a camp out but it would be in his parents backyard.

The boys had so much fun....only three more years until all four boys will be going on the camp outs and KK and I will be left to do what girls do best....eat and shop!!!

Twins 1 year old

My babies are ONE!!!!  How did it go by so fast?

 

They are not walking yet but I am OK with that.  I want them to babies just a little longer and I feel like the transition between babies and toddlers is them walking.

 

They were not happy campers during pictures but you work with what you get.

KK's 8th Birthday

How did she get so big?  I have no idea how 8 years have already come and gone but they have been the best 8 years.  I love being the mommy to my princess.  She truly beings me joy and has been my saving grace during the last year with having twins.  She is a little mommy and loves to help out.  Sometimes I thinks she forgets that she isn't their real mommy and treats them like they are her kids.

 

She was so excited for her birthday and was counting down for the couple of weeks leading up to her big day. (I don't know where she learned to countdown like that) 

 

She made my life easy this year by wanting donuts for the treat to be brought into her class at school

 

 

We told her she could get her ears pierced for her 8th birthday so the Friday before we made it a big family event and took her to get her ears pierced and to dinner at Red Robin.

 

 

After Red Robin, she went and bought two hamsters.  She is old enough to be responsible enough to have her own pet.  She started out wanting fish, then a snake, then a bearded dragon, and we ended up with hamsters. (Side note:  a couple of days after taking the 2 girl hamsters home one gave birth to 4 babies.  They were never supposed to be in contact with any males so I was confused and KK was devastated.  One of the females was a male so we had to take them back to the store.  They had to give us 2 new hamsters and KK was so upset to leave her two old hamsters behind)  

 

 

The next day (sat) KK had a Hawaiian pool party and G Ma's house.

Sunday was her actually birthday (on Mothers Day) and I forgot to get a picture but we had a balloon avalanche. When KK opened her door it came tumbling down.

Corbins 3 1/2 years

Corbin is 3 1/2.  I swear just yesterday he was 1, but I guess he has to grow up.  He is my very energetic and independent 3 year old.  He likes to do things when he wants to do them and not when he is being told. He is my snuggle bug but only when he want to.  He is my big helper but only when he wants to be.  He keeps me on my toes but it just makes me love him that much more.

This picture isn't the best but the twins were taking their 1 year old pictures at the same time so I had to try and get at least one of them all together.

Twins Update

The twins are getting so big.  They are almost 1 year old.  My babies wont be babies very much longer.

They don't like baby food anymore.  They want to eat what we are eating and do pretty good at eating it.

My mom makes blankets for all her grand kids for their first birthday.  Here is them sitting on the blankets she made them.  They turned out really cute!
