Aidan's 7th Bday

My baby boy is no longer a baby.  Aidan turned 7 years old.

His new favorite thing is Poke Man so Trev made him a poke ball cake.

He got money, a harry potter wii game, and some skylanders.

He had a friend bday swimming party this year at Andreas.  Here he is with he best buds.
I am grateful to be his mommy and love watching him grow up and see the wonderful boy he is becoming.

Water Relay FHE

We did a water relay activity for one of combined YM and YW activity over the summer and it was a lot of fun.  My kids saw all the supplies sitting my my garage and wanted to do it so we invited a couple of families and made it our FHE night.  My kids had a blast.  There were over 25 kids so it was a little crazy but so worth it.

We did spongehead, water balloon catch, water face, bobbing for balloons, and a water balloon fight.  We then enjoyed dessert while the kids played.  It was a huge success and probably the start of a yearly family tradition.

Michelle Day

One of my really good friends moved away last summer but has been able to come back and visit a couple of times.  I miss her a ton and have so much fun when she visits.  Trev calls her princess because whenever she comes back I clear my schedule and fill it with hanging with her.  We even have a day called "Michelle day" where we have a day planned to hang from morning to night with no kids or husbands.

This time we met at Michelle's dads house and swam and hung out all afternoon.  We then got ready and went and ate at the Cheesecake Factory.  Afterwards we went shopping looking for skinny jeans for Mindy.  We then went back to her dads and watched a movie.

It is hard to find those good friends you can be yourself around and she is definitely one of them.  She just found out she is having twins boys (her 5th and 6th boys), which makes me even more sad she isn't here.  I can't wait for our next Michelle Day!!!!

Parks over Summer

Trev had the summer off from work and law school so we named this summer "The Best Summer Ever" and we did a lot of fun things to make it just that.  One of the things we did often was go to the park.

Thought this was a cute pic of Trev with the kids

The boys made fishing poles out of long leaves and went fishing.

Wet n Wild 2014

We loved our wet n wild passes last year so G Ma got us the 40 days for $40 dollars pass this year.  It was fun to go with cousins and friends and play outside. It was a tradition that after we left wet n wild we would stop at Dairy Queen and get fries and an ice cream cone.

This is us waiting in the drive thru lane....

This is what they looked like by the time we got home.  They were exhausted.

Pioneer Days 2014

My kids look forward to Pioneer Days each year.  They get to eat and play until their little hearts content.  It is usually so hot but this year it wasn't so bad.

Night out For Whits 30th

Whitney turned 30 so we had a night out to celebrate.  We started the night at Maggianos.  It was delicious. We then went to the LINQ center and rode the ferris wheel.  I was cool and had a great view of the city.

4th of July 2014

Fourth of July was a lot of fun this year.  We started it with a Waite family hike up in Mount Charleston and then had lunch and swam at G Ma and Papa's pool.  Afterwards, we went to Tami's house and had a Slack party with swimming and dinner.  We finished the night with a huge rainstorm and so couldn't light fireworks...it will definitely be a memory we will never forget.
