I am going to try to be better to give a weekly update to go along with my blog posts. I want to remember more day to day things of our lives that we don't always capture with pictures. I am hoping this will be a way to do just that.
Things are going pretty good right now. Trev is working at Alverson Taylor. He has just passed his year mark. He loves where he works and those he works with, but he hopes to go in-house with in the next couple of years. He teaches the youth Sunday school class in our ward. He definitely has a gift for teaching the youth and the kids love him.
KK is in 5th grade and is such an amazing young women. She helps me so much and truly is my saving grace. She babysits, cooks, helps with the kids, and is such a good big sister. I got an email from KK's teachers asking to set up a conference with me. They say they have some concerns to talk about so I am interested to see what they have to say. KK has always done well at school and hasn't ever really struggled. She plays the piano and is going to start soccer next week.
Aidan is in 3rd grade. He is a very sensitive boy. He is very smart and does well at school intellectually but he has had struggles socially this year again. He is working on letting things go and not being the boss of his classmates. He started piano and enjoys it. He also will be starting soccer next week.
Corbin is in kindergarten and loves it. He makes friends very easily and has become the comedian. We are working on staying on task and completing assignments since he tends to daydream. He loves to play with the twins and will do anything to make us laugh at home. He will be starting soccer next week.
Davyn is in preschool. He had become my very shy and has some anxiety when I am away or he thinks I am going somewhere and can't see me. I have to make sure to tell him what room I am going to or he will run through the house crying for me. He is a very sweet boy who will do anything to make his brothers happy. He had started his whining phase and that is how he communicates with me most of the day. I love that he still insists I hold him. He loves to ride his bike. He will be starting soccer next week.
Jade is in preschool also. He is very social and loves to do things by himself. He doesn't leave his room in the mooring until he has gotten himself dressed. He loves school and helps Davyn be ok with me leaving him. Jade does not like riding his bike and insists on walking while Davyn rides his. He still sucks his thumb and loves to be held. He will be starting soccer next week.
Our lives for the next 2 months with all 5 kids playing soccer will be really crazy, but I am hoping it gives the kids the outlet they need to focus on learning something new and to get some of their energy out. Our Saturdays will be filled with 4 soccer games each week...Trev is in heaven since he loves going to the kids games.
I am still the Stake Primary President. I love my calling and love working with the women I do. It is not as overwhelming as I thought it would be. Primary baseball just started back up so that is where I am at every Thursday night.
Life is good! It is crazy and chaotic and sometimes I feel like I have lost complete control over my life and my 5 kids but the good more than outweighs the challenges and I am extremely blessed to be the mommy to my midget army and to be married to my best friend...who I love to be around more than anyone in the world...and after 16 years of being together...I call that a blessing and success. He just gets me and I can be my self around him.
