Life Update
I am so glad to see 2020 in the past. Hopefully this year brings bigger and better things.
Trevor is on track to make partner in the next few months. This will be a blessing and somewhat of an adjustment It will be nice for him to not be so busy and not so stressed to make billable hours, but it will also mean our pay is lowered (at least for the first little bit) so we will have to live on a tighter budget. He just started coaching the twins and Aidans soccer teams.
Me...I just got released as Young Women's President. I have been in there many years and so it will be a nice change of pace. I also think KK will love not having me around all the time. I home school Corbin so that keeps me busy. It will be interesting to see what the next few years bring my way.
KK is still doing school online but the school district is talking about starting back 2 days a week for the last 6 weeks of school. She started in person seminary just 2 days a week but that will go to 4 starting next week. She also just started rec soccer and is loving it. They approved sports for the spring so she should be starting track at the beginning of April. She has her permit and is anxious to get her drivers license soon. We are buying her a car this week....a little Toyota from a girl in our ward who just left on her mission. Kaitlyn is such a good girl and helps me out a ton.
Aidan is doing online school. He is doing really well and so that makes my life so easy. He just started rec soccer again and loves being able to see his friends. He has grown so much in the last 6 months so he is now 2 inches taller and has me beat by 30 pounds. He is very helpful around the house and is always trying to make my life easier so he can stay awake later at night. He has figured out...the nicer you are to mom the nicer your life is.
Corbin is homeschooled by me. There was no way he would of been able to handle online school. He has learned and grown so much in the last 6 months. I will probably continue to homeschool him for 6th and 7th and then maybe will send him back for 8th grade when the twins get into 6th grade. He is now a deacon and so goes to mutual and passes the sacrament. It is the cutest thing watching him each Sunday. Can't believe how grown up he is. He is my creative child and is always playing and creating things in his mind. He just started drum lessons and seems to really enjoy it.
Davyn and Jade were lucky enough to go back to school in October. They only go 3 hours a day but they go 5 days a week. They were struggling so hard with online school so it is such a blessing to have them back. They are in rec soccer and are extremely good at it. They also just started piano lessons that KK teaches them each week. They are the best of friends and stick up for each other. I love being the mom of twins and be able see the special bond they have. Jade is obsessed with raman and so I taught him how to make it....now everyday Davyn convinces him to make it for the both of them. I love watching them grow and become young men....makes me happy and sad at the same time.
