Christmas 2023

Christmas eve we ate pho, opened pjs, did kid white elephant gift exchange, and watched Psych.

Christmas morning we opened presents, were able to hang out and play until we headed to GMa and Papa's house in the afternoon.  

We played pickleball, ate delicious food, watched football, had a grandkid games and opened presents.  I love this time of year of reflecting on our Savior and having time to spend with family.

the day after Christmas was our last day before KK headed home so we went and watched Wonka in the movie theaters

 and then went to the giving machine to donate and to dinner at In N Out

Slack Christmas Party

Christmas Eve Eve has become our new Slack Family Party Day.  Christmas morning just go to be too much.  It was fun to have all day to eat, play and hang out without having to run to another house.  

We did the saran wrap ball with the raffle prizes, LCR game with dimes, the kids played in backyard, we watched VGK hockey game, ordered pizzas and talked and laughed

Micheal and Victoria are able to come. We haven't seen them in almost a decade.

Snowboard with KK

Trev and KK got snowboards for Christmas.  They drove up to Brain Head one day to try them out.  Trev has not gone in over 20 years but he said it was like riding a bike.

 

Dinner with my Besties

Last year for dinner we surprised all the men with matching shirts but they didn't realize until they all showed up to dinner wearing the same shirt.  This year there was talk of them paying us back with leopard print...so we took it upon ourselves to do it for them....and showed up to dinner in different clothes but then went to the bathroom and came out in matching leopard print moo moos. They were comfy and we had a good laugh.  

 

Christmas Break Fun

I love spending time with my boys and enjoyed having fun over Christmas break.  

We want bowling which the boys had fun but didn't love.  

We also went ice skating with all the cousins...once we got the skates figured out it was a lot of fun...especially making snowballs.

VGK with Besties

We got VGK tickets for Travis's parents so we invited the besties for a date night.  We pulled out a win but it was a close one.

 

Presentaion

The twins new middle school does not have semester finals.  The boys work on group projects all semester and then present them for their final.  I love all that they are learning at this school and the skills they are gaining.  They both did amazing memorizing and presenting their information. Davyn's group came up with a medicine for strep throat and Jade's group came up with a prosthetic for people.

 

Guitar Recital

 Jade had guitar this semester and had a recital we got to go see all that he learned.  I love watching them learn new things.

Christmas Express

The twins got invited to Christmas Express with their friend Jackson's family.  The twins loved it and had so much fun.

 

Kings Arthur Tournament

For Christmas last year our kids got tickets to King Arthurs tournament.  We finally were able to see the show before the end of the year.  We were spain which lost but it was still fun to cheer and watch.
