Christmas Party

Trevor went to a Christmas party that a guy he used to work with invited him to.  Corbin was sick so I stayed home with him.  The kids had so much fun.  All the parents brought a gift for their own child and it was given to Santa so when he came to visit he had a present for every child attending the party.  My kids thought it was the coolest thing to actually see Santa and to have Santa know their name and have a toy for them that they loved.  Trev said it was priceless to see the kids trying to wait so patiently for their name to be called (of course they were the last).

The kids got some squikies and their favorite candy.  KK got her favorite candy so it proved to her that this was the real Santa.

KK's 1st Violin Recital

KK has been playing the violin since last summer.  She has practiced and excelled in it.  She loves being able to memorize songs and play them from memory.  She was so excited to finally have her first recital.  It  unfortunately was on the Saturday of Trev's last final, so he wasn't able to go.  Also, Corbin was throwing up and having diarrhea so I wasn't able to go.  I didn't want her to miss it since she was so excited and had practiced so hard for it, so G Ma and Papa took her.  They said she did so good and didn't make any mistakes.  We had them video tape it for us so we can watch it later when Trev gets home.  I took some pictures of her right before she left practicing her two music pieces she would be playing....Jingle Bells and Ode to Joy.

She impresses me with her dedication and how she strives to always do her best.

When G Ma and Papa came to pick her up they brought her these beautiful flowers.  She is so lucky to have such good grand parents.

KK Soccer Party

Kaitlyn was so excited to finally have her soccer party.  Aidan's was the same day as his last game so KK didn't understand why she had to wait until the next week.  She coveted Aidan's trophy and always wanted to touch it.  Aidan of course did not want to let her.  So the day her Soccer Party arrived she was so psyched for it.  They had her party at Flip N Out.  They were able to jump and play for the first hour.  They had pizza, cake, and fruit to eat.

Then they handed out their trophies and medals.  Here is KK getting her trophy from her coach.

Enjoying food with her friends.

She is such a big girl now.  I am so proud of her and how hard she played.

Scooby Doo two sizes to small

For Corbin's 2nd Birthday we bought him a scooby doo costume.  The size is 24 months.  The fact that it was 2 sizes to small did not stop Aidan. He was going to get that costume on one way or another.

This picture it doesn't look to bad.

He thought this was the coolest thing ever even though it was squashing his family jewels.

The costume is supposed to be pants.  It was so funny to watch him run around in his skin tight costume.
I love this kids determination and imagination.

Soccer Party and Awards

After Aidan's last soccer game, they had a team party at CiCi's pizza to hand out trophies and awards.

This is him saying cheese

Brooklynn and Aidan were on the same team

The girls bought mustaches from the little vending machine.

Aidan would not put his medal or trophy down for the rest of the day.  He was in heaven!!!

Park in the Winter

The weather had been so nice in Vegas but in one day that changed.  It went from short sleeves and pants at the end of November to huge jacket, beanie, and gloves at the beginning of December.  Of course, the kids last soccer game was the first weekend in December.  We had an hour in between KK's and Aidan's soccer game so we braved it at the park.  If you can't tell by my kids outfits....IT WAS COLD!!!!!

Aidan finally not scared of the slides

Corbin and Daddy

I was surprised when he came out backwards and wasn't crying.  This little boy is the biggest chicken I have ever met, so this is progress people.

It was fun even though it was so cold.

Cinnamon and Spice

Kaitlyn's school mascot is a stallion, and each month a different student who is caught doing good things is chosen to be the "Star Stallion".   KK was chosen to be that student at the beginning of December.  It means they get to bring home the class stuffed animals named Cinnamon and Spice.  She also had to make a poster board about herself and gets to bring in something for Show n Tell.  Over the weekend, she had to document the adventures of Cinnamon and Spice so she could go back and tell her class all about it.  Here are their adventures...

Helping KK get the mail

Studying with dad for law school exams

Being attacked by Corbin

Keeping KK safe while she slept

Watching KK's last soccer game of the season

Playing at the Park

Riding a  dinosaur

It was a very eventful weekend.  I am just glad they made it back to school in one piece.

Christmas Decorations

It is a tradition for us to put up our Christmas decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving.  If it was up to Trevor they would get put up at the beginning of November.

The kids in front of the tree they just decorated.

Stockings are hung

Here the kids are playing with the Christmas train we got to go around the tree.  The train is awesome because the tracks light up and it plays Christmas songs.

Trevor's contribution to Christmas....his Nightmare Before Christmas corner.

Tree all lite up
I love this tradition!!!

Flip N Out

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we decided to go to Flip N Out.  It is a trampoline/jump house place that KK has been begging to go to.

Aidan and Kaitlyn waiting outside for the others to arrive.  I love their cute faces!!!

KK taking Annabelle down the slide

Pile up at the end of the slide.  I love the way Aidan and Indie are looking at each other.

Aidan cried at first but then realized he wasn't going to die.

Papa and G Ma jumping with the grand kids.

KK, G Ma and Aidan playing dodge ball.

Afterwards we went to In N Out for lunch.  It was a great way to end the weekend.

Waite Thanksgiving 2011

It is a tradition for the Waite side to get together the day before Thanksgiving at the Stake Center for a huge meal.  I love it cause it gives the kids a chance to see all their cousins and second cousins they don't see that often.

Family Picture...KK got dressed up because she would be playing her violin that night for everyone and thought it was necessary to wear her favorite dress.

We invited Grandpa Slack to join us.

At the end of dinner, we had anyone who wanted to share their talents perform for us.  Great Grandpa Waite went first by playing his harmonica.

The kids were memorized....

Especially Corbin

All the kids sang I am a child of God as Grandpa played the tune.

Always best of buds

Kaitlyn played her violin.  She was so nervous and even cried when we told her she had to play. After her first song though she didn't want to stop playing.  We had to stop her after song number 4.

Crew then performed the Pledge of Allegiance.  After that KK, Aidan, and Crew sang Book of Mormon Stories.

It was a fun night even though I ended eating myself sick.
