Corbin Growing Up

I hate that day when I realize my baby is no longer a baby.  It has happened.  My loving toddler has turned into an independent, tantrum throwing two year old monster.  He is still cute and keeps me laughing but it is mixed with him yelling and screaming.

The other day Trev walked upstairs to find that Corbin had turned on the TV for himself and was maxing and relaxing to his favorite TV show.

I have just a bunch of random pictures I want to remember of him at this age.

Excited to go swimming

He loves his glasses

Chilling....watching TV while eating lunch.

He was ready to get out of the shopping cart.

His new favorite thing is to get into my make up and put it everywhere.  He especially loves my mascara.  I have already had to replace it 4 times because of him.

I forgot to post his 2 year old pictures so here it is even if it's three months late.

I love watching him grow and learn.  Everyday his vocabulary grows and he loves that he can actually articulate what he wants to say.  WE LOVE HIM....tantrums and all!

Aidan's 4 1/2 year old pictures

I can not believe the handsome little man he has turned out to be.  Where has 4 1/2 years gone?

He was so excited to have his 4 1/2 year old pictures taken and did whatever the photographer asked him to do.

I love this mischievous little smile. It totally sums him up in a picture.

The morning of his pictures I realized the boys had matching shirts so I thought I might try and get at least get one good picture of them together ( if Corbin would cooperate).  At first, no such luck, but after he saw Aidan take all his pictures he thought it might not be so bad so he stood there long enough for us to get two good picutres of them together.

I love my two little men!

Springs Preserve

We love going to the Springs Preserve.  It is a nice place that the whole family can go to and enjoy.  They had a special program about birds that we went to.  It was really cool to see all the different types of birds that live here.

At the beginning, they had the kids dress up as butterflies and go on a nature hike.  Aidan wanted nothing to do with it but KK loved it.

Here are just some of the birds that were in the show.

After the show, we went to the exhibit that was all about POO.  It was very interesting.

Afterwards, we went to the museum across from the Springs Preserve. It was nice but not enough for us to go back anytime soon.

It was a nice relaxing Saturday spent as a family.  I love these kind of days!!!

Disney on Ice

Our kids loved Disney on Ice last year, so we decided to get get them tickets this year as part of their Christmas present. It wasn't until the second week of January but it was worth the wait.  This year it had a Toy Story theme.

Waiting for the show to begin

Aidan spent a lot of the time doing this.  He hates anything loud.
KK was glued the whole time...especially when barbie was skating.
Covering his ears again
Corbin sat on daddy's lap like this for almost the whole show.

The kids favorite part

I think this might be the start of a family tradition.

Riding Bike without training wheels

It has needed to happen for a while but we have been slackers. All of KK's friends have learned to ride their bikes without training wheels but we haven't even tried to teach her.  Well she got a new bike for Christmas so we thought it was a perfect time to show her how the big girls do it.  We went to the Dinosaur park so we would have a big space to let her practice.

The kids and I played in the sand

While Trev taught her how to ride her bike.  She cried at the beginning cause she hates change and is  very hesitant to try things if she thinks there is a chance she might get hurt.

She ended up doing really well.  She has a hard time getting started cause the bike is a tad to high but if Trev holds it while she gets on and steadies herself she does fine.  She can ride and stop with no problem.  We just need to practice the starting a little more.
I am proud of her for trying it even though she was scared.

Christmas 2011

Christmas morning KK and Aidan came into our room at 7 and we were mean enough to make them wait until 7:30 so we could let Corbin sleep a little longer.

Here the kids are anxiously waiting while dad wakes up Corbin

Corbin all dressed up after opening some of his presents.

Aidan is so animated I wish I could of got better pictures of his happy/excited face.

Later that day we found the boys like this.  Aidan playing with Corbin's train while Corbin is playing with Aidan's.

Our failed attempt to get a cute grandchild picture and G Ma and Papa's house.

The kids and us were definitely spoiled this year.

That night after our delicious meal Andrea had the kids dress up for the Nativity.  Corbin was the shepherd and Annabelle was the animals.

Aidan was Joseph and KK was Mary.

They sang for us Silent Night

Well they mostly laughed not sang the song

Andrea bought Corbin a little drum set that he loves.  He is definitely attracted to the drums.  If a song comes on with lots of drumming, he will close his eyes as he pretends he is playing.  It is hilarious.

Of course, he had to give me his cheese face.
