Feeding the Homeless

KK had a great idea to help us remember the true meaning of Christmas.  She wanted to make lunches and bring them to the homeless.  So we had Great Grandma and Grandpa help us make and assemble 30 lunches.

KK had an assembly line with the Grandparents making the sandwiches.

The twins decorated the bags.  Davyn helped daddy make the goodie bags of Christmas treats.

Aidan and Corbin helped put all the other stuff into the bags.

We had everyone come in the car but KK was the only one who got out with us.

It was truly humbling.  Within 30 seconds all the bags were gone.  As soon as we got out they started running to our car and when they were gone the ones who didn't get any were saying...gone already.  Next year we are going to include other families and we have a goal to make 1000 lunches, with hygiene kits, scarfs, gloves, and jackets.  We are truly blessed and have much to be grateful for.

Flin N out Extreme

The day after the big kids grandma day my mom took the smaller kids to have their day with grandma so I was left with the 2 older kids.  We set up a date with Peyton and Preston.  I took them to FlipnOut Extreme.  They played for 2 hours and then we went to Fuddruckers for lunch.  Afterwards, we picked up the kids and came back home where they played the rest of the day.  I love my life and my kids!!!

Cousin Playdate

As I get older, I am more and more aware and grateful for the family I have been blessed with.  We can get loud, crazy, and a little emotional but there is nothing better than family and especially sisters.  I don't get to see them as much as I would like but when we do there is nothing better.

My mom took KK and Aidan to have a grandma day with no little kids so I took the 3 younger boys and maddox to go play at my sister Tye's house.  They had just moved and I hadn't seen their house yet.

I am in love with their house and the boys had so much fun playing there.  They played games, soccer, in the sand, and on the tramp.

This was the hug they gave as we left....they didn't want to go.

Waite Family Cooking Challenge

We haven't done this in a while but the kids love it when we do. We had a Waite Family Challenge.  We pick names and every one is assigned a partner and food assignment.

Daddy and Corbin were partner and they were in change of the entree.  They made homemade hamburgers and fries.

KK and Davyn were partners and they had appetizer.  They made shrimp lettuce wraps.  Shrimp is KK's specialty.

Jade and Aidan were partners and they had dessert.  They made mint brownies and chocolate covered pretzels with sprinkles.

It was such a fun night and surprising not fighting took place.  I set the table and was the assistant to them all.

Glittering Lights 2016

Our Annual Glittering Lights....I was surprised we were able to get all of us in 1 picture.  The kids love doing this each year.  I think they love driving in the car with no seat belts. I love this little army of mine.

St. George Live Nativity

We haven't seen Great Grandma or Grandpa Waite in a while so we made a trip up to St. George.

We went to their apartment and played shuffleboard and then took them to dinner at chipotle.

Afterwards we want to the live Nativity and of course we needed churros

Aidan Field Trip

Aidan went on a school field trip to Red Rock and I was able to chaperone.  I love watching him interact with his friends.  He has definitely grown up and matured socially.  I love his happiness and zeal for life. He does get passionate and determined about things which we are helping him find a balance with but I hope he never loses it.
