New Year's Eve

New Years Eve started with Trista and I doing Tina's hair for her bridals since she gets married next week.

that night we had pizza for dinner and had Hollies' family join us to ring in the new year.

the boys played hockey for almost 3 hours

Then came in and had a FIFA and fortnight competition 

as well as other games and cup ping pong

We rang in 2023 with glow sticks and dancing

 I am grateful for another year with these midgets and can't wait to see what exciting things await us.

We did a couples date to the Cowboy Christmas.  It is a huge convection center just filled with everything cowboy.

Christmas 2022

Christmas Eve we had our tradition of spring rolls and pho for dinner.  Grandma Slack and GMa and Papa joined us.  We opened our pjs and had to get a picture of us all matching. 

We ended the night watching Wednesday the show

Christmas morning we had to wake the kids up for church so had to wait until after church to do our stuff.  Trev wanted to make a new tradition of the kids acting out the nativity.  It was more chaos and making fun but hey we tried.

We then opened up presents and our good friends Mai and Tom made us all hats so we sent her a picture to thank her.

In the afternoon we went to GMa and Papa's house to eat a late lunch.  Before we opened presents, Papa read us the book " The Best Christmas Pageant ever"

We then opened presents and played minute to win it games, and cup ping pong

Slack Christmas Party

Slack Family Party got moved this year to Christmas Eve Eve.  Since Christmas is on Sunday and we have church it would be to hard to juggle it all.

It ended up working out really well and maybe we will change the day permanently.

We had chili and soup with tons of sides for dinner.

We then did the kid gift exchange

followed by the saran wrap balls with lots of raffle tickets for prizes

Aunt Tina made it interesting by putting big money envelopes into the prizes

the adults then did the white elephant gift exchange

 I love my family and grateful for this time of year were we connect and make time for those who are most important to us.
