I love this thought because out of any hardship or trial you can find the blessings and sliver linings.
Its crazy to be writing about this because I know in 20 year this will be something people still talk about. We have been mandated to quarantine ourselves for the next 30 days....and when I say ourselves I mean the whole United States of America. They have shut down all schools and almost all businesses that are NON essential. Everyone is told to stay home and go nowhere unless absolutely necessary. Store shelves look like this...
You can not go eat anywhere. You can take it to go but you can not stay at a restaurant. The strip is completely shut down. No hotels or casinos are open. The strip is a ghost town.
The kids have been home from school for almost 2 weeks now with at least 2 more weeks to go. I am not sure if they will extend the quarantine or not. We have been doing school online. The teachers post their assignment online and the kids have the week to complete it. I am not going to lie. It has been a hard adjustment. Not only having them home all day but to not be able to play with friends or neighbors. The last 2 days I feel like we have finally gotten into a good routine. The kids are doing better and don't seem to mind being home too much anymore.
We have had to get creative on how to keep the kids entertained.
We had a lego master competition
Boys playing outside and trying to make each other laugh
Playing NHL on XBOX together
We have gone on many walks, roller blades, jump on tramp, hockey, soccer, corn hole etc (boys have a lot of energy)
Here is Corbins schedule for the week (they did make some changes after I wrote this)
Some funny memes to help us get through
I am so grateful for a living prophet who has warned us and encouraged us to have a food storage, to be out of debt, and to have savings. We don't have as much as I would like but I know we will have our needs met. I am so interested and looking forward to General Conference which is in a little over a week. I know the world needs the love and spirit that will come from listening to these inspirational men. It will be 200 hundred years since the 14 year old boy, Joseph Smith, received direction and a personal visit from his Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. He lives and hears and answers our prayers. I am so blessed and grateful for this knowledge.
