Big Bear 4th of July

We started a tradition a few years back to go to a cabin for the 4th of July.  We have gone to Duck Creek for the past few years but we thought we would try somewhere else for a change and decided on Big Bear Lake in California.  It was a lot of fun but my kids decided they want to go back to Duck Creek next year.

My pictures uploaded backwards so I will be telling about the trip from the last day to the first.

We ended the trip with watching the Fireworks over the lake.

the last day we tried to go paddle boarding but got all they way there and were about to unload when we say a sign saying you needed a permit so the kids decided they wanted to go shopping and see who could come up with the best item on a budget.  We split up into teams and spent a few hours walking around shopping.

Dad won but he cheated since he went over budget

Scooty and I were a team

One morning Davyn and I went to get donuts for breakfast

At nigh we went on a walk to see all the different cabins

One day we did a hike to a waterfall...that we never found.

spent many hours playing pool

Went to church

the older kids entertained us with raps each night

KK and Brooklynn pampering themselves

Twins were the only ones to get into the spa

We tried our hand at fishing...no one caught anything but we had fun trying

The little town had a cute shopping center the kids loved to explore

KK and Brooklynn made candles

On a small hike by our cabin for the boys to explore

The first day we started our trip off with a movie "Minions: The Rise of Gru"
