Aidan soccer

Aidan is playing soccer this season and loves it cause 3 of his friends are on the team.  He loves to get out and run and I love it because it gives him a way to get his energy out.

 

He was goalie in one of his first games and did a really good job.

 

 

KK Soccer

KK is playing soccer this spring and is loving it.  She has a coach that is actually there to make sure the kids learn the skills they need to play soccer.  He is a little intense sometimes but she is learning a lot. 

 

The first game KK played really well.  The last half of the game she played goalie and stopped two goals.

 

I love seeing her grow and learn new things.  I am just glad she enjoys it!

Easter 2013

Easter was a lot of fun this year....We started it off with our annual Slack Easter party at my dad's house. I love it cause it gives us the space we need with out me having to watch my kids like hawks.

I couldn't find my camera Easter morning and by the time I found it....this was all that was left.

 

That night we had dinner at Trev's parents house and they had a little egg hunt for the kids.

Temple

I got called as the Young Women's President a couple of months back and have been loving it.  It is challenging but I truly do love the girls so it makes it worth it.  So when I got a phone call from Jocelyn (a previous young women of mine from 5 years back) telling me that she had received her mission call I was estactic, but instantly thought about how I could get her to come talk to the young women about her testimony and how she made her decision to be baptized. 

 

It kind of just fell into place after that.  We had set a date to do baptisms for the dead over spring break and that is when Jocelyn would be in town visiting her family for the last time before her mission, so we combined the two.  We meet at the church by the temple at 6 and had a little fireside with Jocelyn being the main speaker and then went over to the temple together to do baptisms for the dead.  It was a very special experience and am so grateful for people like Jocelyn in my life who inspire me to be better.

Family reunion

I love getting together with family that I don't get to see that often.  It is always nice to be reminded just how many people out there love you. 

 

My cousin Becky was getting sealed in Arizona a couple of weeks ago and so a lot of my moms side of the family was traveling there to attend it.  They all just happen to be traveling through Las Vegas to get there so all of us met up one night at a park.  The kids played and the adults chatted.  We, of course, had to try and get a picture of everyone there.

Shrek

We love going to the Smith Center, especially when we get to go see some cool plays.  This time we brought the two oldest midgets with us to see Shrek.  It was really good and my kids laughed through most of the last half.  Their favorite character was Lord Farquaad. He was hilarious.  He definitely took the play to a whole new level.  It ended kind of late for my kids but they really good.

 

Ward 5k and Easter Egg Hunt

KK and I ran a race on Labor day and ever since she has asked me when she can run another one with me so it was perfect when our ward put together a ward activity for Easter.  It was a 5K with a Easter egg hunt. 

 

It was fun but KK so was tired by the end.  We had brought her razor with us but her friend ran with us and was so tired so her and KK took turns using the razor.  She was beyond glad when we finished.

I signed Corbin up for gymnastics through the rec center and he loved it.  He loved all the fun things he got to do.

I wasn't very impressed with his instructor but Corbin seemed to enjoy it!

My kids do the funniest things sometimes and I am just grateful when I actually capture them on camera.

 

It was chilly outside so my kid layered up for the "winter"

 

I get so stir crazy sometimes and so do my boys but my options of what to do with three small kids is limited so I improvised....I put both twins in the back seat and took them for a run.  I wasn't sure how they would handle sitting like that but they loved it. I think they just really loved being outside. 

 

On the way home I look back to see that Corbin had fallen asleep on Jade's car seat and Jade was patting Corbin's head so softly while he slept.

 

My mom turned 61 this year so us kids got together and took her out to her favorite restaurant....Red Lobster.  It was nice to get out and hang with out any kids.
