Aidan

I have to just give a shout out to Aidan.  He is ending his freshman year and truly has turned into a fine young man.  He is kind and considerate.  He is so helpful and is usually willing to do what I need him to do.  He is funny and keeps me laughing.  He is doing amazing at school, soccer and track.  It is truly amazing to watch him mature and become confident in who he is.  I love it as a momma to see him grow right before my eyes. When he was younger, we had many challenges probably because we are so much alike, so to see all the hard work and changes he has made to become who he is today is wonderful. 

The three musketeers are a big part of it.  They have been the best of friends and been such good examples. 

 

VGK Hockey Games

My kids are blessed with amazing Grand parents who love to spend time with them.  GMa and Papa bought season tickets to the Vegas Golden Knights game and take the kids separately to them.  It is something the kids look forward to and love.  The ride the bus to the arena and eat dinner before the game.

Paddle board

We bought paddle boards and so had to take them out for a spin.  Hollie and Nelson came with us so they could show us the ropes.  It was so nice a relaxing.  We paddled to a cave called Emerald cove.  The water inside it green.

Bday and Staycation

I love staycations.  You get to stay in your bed and sleep, don't have to pack or travel, and you have no responsibilities as a parent for a few days.  Andrea was nice enough to take our kids for a few days so we could have a birthday staycation.  Trev is taking the Utah bar at the end of the month so couldn't really take anytime off of work, but I really can't complain.  It was my 40th and his 39th bday.  The day before I went to my friend Christina's house to help her put furniture together and they surprised me wth some chocolate and GC.

The morning of my actual bday I had all Trista's kids and Tami and Preston take me to lunch and then come back and hang out at my house. Layla took a nap in my bed with me.

Trevor got my wedding ring fixed.  The center stone fell out years ago so I wore one of my moms old rings as my wedding ring.  I was surprised when years later he had it fixed. 

The day after my birthday is when the staycation started.  I had all my snacks and binged watched a show on netflix all day while Trev worked. I had my food delivered to me so I didn't even have to move off the couch.

That night we ate at a new Mexican restaurant and did some shopping.

We had two whole says of hanging out, staying up late, and sleeping in.  It is nice as a couple to reconnect and realize we still like each other. Grateful for all my years I have had with my best friend.

KK is such a good big sister and when she picks up the twins from school she usually takes them to get a treat.  They love when she picks them up.

Twins Basketball Game

The twins tried out for basketball.  They had tried out for the non competitive team but got put on the competitive team.  Right after we paid and got them all registered they decided they did not want to play.  I told them they had already committed and so would have to finish the season.  They loved practice but hated the games.  They made it to the championship but lost.  It was a good season but the twins found out that they don't love basketball.

Tawnya Graveside

I can't believe it has already been a year.  Tawnya was such a loving and compassionate person. Even though she struggled with mental health she was always thinking of other people.  I can not believe she is gone but know she is home and is not longer struggling.  I wish I would of had more time with her but it has taught me to remember those in my life and to make time for those you love.

To celebrate her life and remember her on the year anniversary of her passing Tami, My mom and I went to visit her graveside.  We drove up to St. George and stopped for some lunch and then went to the cemetery.  I hadn't been there since her funeral.  It was a bittersweet visit but loved being able to be there with my sister and mom.
