1st grade Open House

Kaitlyn loves her new school and she loves her teacher, Mrs. Smith.  The school had an open house so I was able to go meet her teacher...the one I hear so much about.

KK showing off some of the stuff she has done.

I love my little girl!

Lighting, Rain & Hail

It's very rare but every now and again we get a good rainstorm.  I hate when it rains just enough to get things wet and dirty and nothing else.  Well last week it rained for a couple of days.  I loved it!

On Sunday after church it started pouring and then hailing.

See the hail by the wall

Of course our kids wanted to play in it.  KK actually played in it while it was hailing.

Corbin and Aidan waited until it was over and played with what was left behind.

We jumped on the trampoline after and my feet were frozen from all that ice.

It was so much fun and made us all laugh.  I love these moments in life!

Soccer Time

We signed KK and Aidan up for a soccer league.  They were so excited to put all their stuff on for the first time.

On our way to the first practice.

KK has practice twice a week and Aidan only has it once.  While KK is practicing Aidan finds ways to entertain himself.

Here he is with his buddy Devin.  Don't they look stylish in their mama's glasses?

I love how they are both wearing Batman shirts with our glasses.

Family Fun

Just some random family fun....

Us at the Springs Preserve!  Trevor's grandma buys us a season pass each year and my kids love it.  There is a lot to do and my kids love that they can touch anything and not get in trouble.

Here they are playing in the sand underneath a huge dinosaur.

Getting ready to go home but KK wanted a picture with Corbin.

Dress up time.  My kids love to dress up and play house or whatever they can imagine up.  Today they were a fire fighter saving a princess.

Corbin wanting to be like his brother Aidan.

Eating dinner while watching a movie

Our little pool got ruined a couple of weeks ago when there was a rainstorm. Trev took the kids and had them pick out another one.  Of course this one had a slide, basket ball hoop, and sprinkler all attached to it.  The kids loved it and we played outside all day enjoying the nice weather.

While we played, Trev fixed are trampoline by sewing it back together.  It got busted a couple of months ago and it was falling apart fast.  Luckily dad has the patience cause I don't.
Just another reason why we love him!

Aidan's 1st day of 4 yr old preschool

My Oh My...where has the time gone.  My little boy is growing up so fast.  He started his 2nd year of Preschool and loves it.

I am glad he still loves Batman cause now we can use the same backpack as last year.  He wanted to show it off in the picture.

I love that cheesy grin!!!

Dad loves his mo hawk

Doesn't he look so big in this picture?

1st day of school....with Mrs. Tiny.

I love those beautiful eyes!!!

He goes two days a week for 3 hours and I carpool so I only have to drive one day.  It has been nice having some alone time with Corbin.  He does miss his brother and sister though. He gets so excited when they get home.  He will just keep saying their name.

I am just trying to enjoy this last year I have with Aidan at home.  Before I know it he will be in kindergarten and off starting his life that doesn't revolve around me. I love my little man!

While KK is Away we will play

After dropping off KK for her first day of school, me and the boys went swimming with some friends.  It was totally different only having two kids to look after.

Aidan pretending he is a shark...

Corbin is ready for anything with all those floaties on

Aidan with is best friend Gavin

Two of my besties...Hollie and Christina

I think I might get used to only have to run after 2 kids instead of 3 all day.

First day of 1st Grade

Where did the time go?  How can I possibly be the mother of a 1st grader?  Sometimes I wish I could keep her little but she is turning into such a beautiful girl that I also want to see what she becomes and what she can achieve.    This year we got her into a charter school.  Somerset is a school that goes all the way through Junior High which I love.  I love the thought of her going to the same school with all the same friends.  She loves her teacher Mrs. Smith.  I love her cause KK for the longest time hated her blonde hair.  She didn't know anyone with blonde hair and I think she hated being different from everyone else in her class, but her teacher has blonde hair and she thinks her teacher is beautiful so it helps KK accept herself and see she is still beautiful even if she has blonde hair.

1st day of 1st Grade pictures

Aidan didn't want to be left out

She posed herself for this one

On the way to school

Waiting in line with one of her friends from kindergarten...McClayn

I had to get a picture of Benjamin.  He has been KK's crush for the past year and is the one KK says she is going to marry.  She is excited he is going to her school but sad he isn't in her class.  She does tell me when she gets to see him at school.
So far so good...it's only been a week but she loves loves loves it!!!!

Aidan Tests

Ever since Aidan was a baby he has been banging his head at night.  It started as soon as he could lift his own head. He would bang it so hard sometimes his head would bleed and scab up, but the didn't stop him.  He would continue to bang it and didn't seem to mind the sore it created on his forehead.  I asked the doctor about it and he told me it was normal.  He said a lot of kids do it to soothe themselves, and every night since then he has banged his head.

Well now that he is older and can talk, we ask him why he bangs his head. Sometimes he say...cause there is a TV in my head and that is the only way it stops or there is ringing in my ear and that is the only way it stops.  This concerned us so we took him to another pediatrician.  He referred us to an audiologist and a neurologist.  We haven't been to the audiologist yet but our appt is in 3 weeks.  We did get into the neurologist and he told us he wanted to get an EEG and a MRI of his brain.  He just wants to make sure there isn't anything there that shouldn't be.  The EEG test Aidan had to be sedated for.  We had to start by sleep depriving him.  We had to keep him up until 11 pm and then wake him up at 4 am. He didn't seem to mind but that was a very long day for me.  At 7:30 I had to give him medicine that would make him sleepy as I left to drive to the EEG appointment.  Within 5 minutes of getting into the room, he was out.  He slept through the whole test fine, but I had to wake him up for the last 3 minutes of the test so they could get a read on him brain when he was awake.  As soon as I woke him up he said he had to pee.  We tried to get him all unhooked in time but we weren't so lucky.  He peed everywhere.  The nurse didn't seem to mind but having to carry a 4 year old peed little boy all the way to the car was not fun.  I had to strip him down and he had to ride home bottomless.

The MRI test Aidan had to be sedated for also.  This time though they gave him shots of medicine that knocked him out.  The whole time he was in the MRI machine I prayed that he would not wake up.  If I woke up to my head being strapped down and in a mask less than 2 inched from my face I would of freaked.  Luckily he didn't.  He slept right through all the loud noises the machine makes.  I had to wake him up after the test, and for the next 4 hours he was out of  it.  He would sway and fall over if he tried to walk.  He would fall off the couch if he tried to sit up.  He would say the funniest things.

Here are a couple of pictures of him swaying all over the place....

I promised him a cookies if he smiled for the camera.

We haven't gotten the results back on any of the tests yet, but I am hopeful everything is going to be OK.  I am just grateful my kids for the most part are healthy cause that would be the worst...watching your kids suffer in pain and not be able to do anything to comfort them.

Love my Aidan BOY!!!!!

Mommy and Son Date

It is rare for Aidan to getting any alone time. With him being the middle child, he is always with at least one other kid.  So we try to plan a date every now and again to show him how special he is.  KK went and got a pedicure with G Ma and Corbin was at home napping with Dad so me and Aidan snuck away.  We went and got smoothies.  Aidan loves smoothies. He prefers them over Slurpee's and ice cream.

We finished our date at the library where he could pick out some books to bring home.

I love this little boy!!!!!

Fort Fun

My kids love Forts.   They are always wanting me to make them a fort using our couches.  It is a pain to move them around, so my friend gave me an ingenious idea to use the table as the fort.

The kids finally let Corbin in after a couple of minutes of him crying.

They were hilarious to watch.  They have the best imaginations.
It only lasted about an hour though cause they kept hitting their heads on the table.

1st day of Law School

The day we have been working for finally came.  Trev's first day of Law school. Ever since we got married we have done nothing but plan and sacrifice so this day could happen. Luckily he got into UNLV so we didn't have to move.

Here's a picture of what our family looked like on his first day....

It will be cool to look back on this in four years(when he graduates) to see how much our family has changed.

I am grateful for him and how hard he works to achieve his dreams.  Love you Baby!!!
