Beach Day 4

Our fourth day in California  was Sunday so we had that be our beach day.  We started with the delicious complementary breakfast at our hotel.

KK, Papa, and Aidan being crazy while waiting for our food.

It was chilly outside so I didn't plan on my kids getting wet but before the day was over they were drenched in salt water and sand.

Aidan thinking about if the coldness out weighs the fun

Fun won!!!

KK letting the water chase her.

Aidan's and Kaitlyn's name written in the sand.

We ended our fun by building a castle.

Dad even helped.

I love this man and am so grateful I got to marry my best friend.

Disneyland Day 3

On the third day, we started with KK riding the roller coaster again.

Here's a picture of Aidan and me while we waited.

We saw the bug life movie.  It was so cool but the kids cried once the bugs attached.

Aidan and KK sharing the stroller

Dad was so excited to watch the Captain Emo movie.  The one with Michael Jackson.

Of course, you can't visit Disneyland without visiting Toon Town.  The kids loved being able to touch everything.

If only I could put them in jail whenever I wanted.

KK being the photographer while we waited in line for the little roller coaster.

Everyone waiting for the parade to start.

Best of Buds

KK loves her G Ma

KK's favorite part of the parade.  Aidan loved it all.

That night we went to the World of Color water show.  It was so awesome.  Here is a picture of Papa and KK afterwards.

By the end of the night my kids were exhausted.  Aidan passed out in the stroller.

Disneyland Day 2

Day two was spent between both parks.  KK wanted to ride a roller coaster the day before but was a 1/2 inch to short so today we cam prepared with her tall shoes that gave her at least an inch of height.  She passed and had so much fun riding the roller coaster.

All the grandkids (besides Corbin)

I of cousre had to take a picture of us out front of Disneyland.

Girls riding the boat tour

We waited in line over and hour so KK could meet some of the princesses.  Belle was my favorite because she was the most talkative and nice.  KK was in heaven.

Ariel was KK's favorite.

I was surprised that Aidan wasn't scared of the beast.

That night Disneyland set up for Halloween.  The kids were able to trick or treat inside of the park.  They got lots of candy.

Aidan was so scared for the Haunted Mansion but once inside he loved it.

Disneyland Day 1

We were spoiled again this year and got to go on a Waite family vacation.  We went with Trev's parents and all his sisters and their families.  It was fours days of fun.  We left Corbin at home since he was to young to ride most of the rides and we wanted it to be a fun time for KK and Aidan.

Aidan and Crew were like this most of the time...holding hands.

The first day we spent mostly at California adventure.  We did run into a lot of friends there.

Like Goofy....

Mater

Lighting McQueen

& Pluto

I didn't get a picture but there is a ride there called the Tower of Terror.  I have never been on it and never will but with a lot of coaxing and bribing Trev got the kids to go on it.  The kids both cried and talked about how much they hated it.  KK talked about it for weeks after.  She even had bad dreams about it.  I guess we won't get the best parent award this year.

Ragnar 2011

I can not believe it has already come and gone but this was a goal I had worked towards for months and I am so proud of myself for actually accomplishing it.  I completed the Ragnar Race.  For those of you who don't know what that is...it is a race that is over 24hrs long and covers about 188 miles. The running is divided among 12 people and each person runs three separate legs of the race.  I was lucky number 12 so I was the last to run.  My first and last leg were 6.5 miles and my second leg was 3 miles, so total I ran 16 miles in less than 24 hrs.  We were in the car most of the time cheering on our teammate that was running.  We did get a hotel room and I got to sleep from 5 am until 8am.  I didn't feel the greatest since I was 7 weeks pregnant with identical twins, but I knew it was something I wanted to do and so I made the best of it.

A plus was I got to meet some of the coolest, strongest chicks.  My sister in law got me into this mess and most of the team was from her ward. Let me tell you it must be a pretty cool ward.

Our team name was Kickin' Asphalt.  We had 2 vans and these are the girls that were in my van.

Me and my sister in law(who by the way ran almost 30 miles during the race.  She was only scheduled for 22 miles but she ended up running with 2 other girls who needed the moral support to finish)

At night, we had to be decked out in all our protective gear and vests.  The headlight was annoying.

Our second day out with us sporting our team tank tops.

This was taken right before my last leg

It was such a blast to do and I hope I am in good enough shape after having my babies to do it next year!!!
