Twins 9 months old

My babies turned 9 months old.  Its crazy how fast it has flown by.

Corbin and Mommy

I love my Corbin but sometimes I think he gets lost in the hustle and bustle of a busy life with 5 kids and a husband in law school.  So one afternoon we sat on the couch and took pictures and videos of him. He definitely loves getting all the attention. I love seeing him grow up and learn new things but am sad at the same time that my little baby isn't so little.

We finally got Trev tested.  I know that probably sounds bad but I have been wanting him to do this for a long time and I finally convinced to do it.  Its a test to see how much, body fat he has, how many calories he needs to eat a day, and what kinds of food he needs to eat to get the body type he wants.  It was cool to watch.

 

Here is Trev with the mask on that tells him how many calories he burns a day if he just sat all day and did nothing else but breathe.    

 

We learned so much and Trev has really taken all that he learned and is hard core at abiding by it so he can get the body he has always wanted.  We took before pictures so in a couple of months I will post them with the updated pictures to see his progress.

5k Color Run

I have been bad at running lately.  Trev's gone so much and its hard to try and squeeze it in when he is home to watch the kids.  So I was excited when me and my friends signed up for a 5K color run.  It was so fun to get out and get dirty.

Birthdays Celebration

Trev and I always celebrate our birthdays together since they are only 2 days apart but Trevor turned the big 30 this year and we wanted to do something that would help him celebrate turning old that right way....so we signed him up for skydiving.  He has always said he wanted to do it so we thought why not. Kel is turning 30 this year in May so Trev got him on board also. 

 

It was a family event.  A lot of Trevs family was there to see him and Kel jump out of a plane.

 

The twins came along too since they were to young to leave with a babysitter.

Afterwards, we spent the rest of the day shopping and eating at one of our favorite places, Gangus Grill.

It was a nice, fun relaxing day and I am glad I got to spend it with the love of my life and best friend!!!

Mommy Son Date

Kaitlyn got a Daddy Date so Aidan wanted a Mommy date.   He wanted to go to lunch with me so we dropped the three younger boys off to Trista and we went to lunch at Red Robin.  You could see the joy on his face during lunch.  He was getting all my attention.  He told me all about school and his friends.  I really loved being able to focus on him and let him know just how much I love him.

Daddy Daughter Dance 2013

Kaitlyn has been looking forward to this night all year.  She was so worried that it wasn't going to happen this year but February came around and she finally got the invite to attend the daddy daughter dance at her school.  She was estactic.  She was so worried about what she was going to wear...she literally tried on all her dresses but she finally decided on the same dress she wore last year.  Luckily it still fit her.  Trevor took the night off of school so he could go.  I love hoe good of a daddy he is.  He figures he only has about 6 of these in her life time so he wants to go to all of them.  He also started a tradition last year where he takes her to the store before the dance and she picks out a new pair of shoes.  We didn't get a picture of them but they were definitely KK's style.

Aidan's Valentine Project

Aidan had a homework assignment to come up with a cool Valentine Card box to hold all his cards and treats.  Of course Daddy is the king of creative so they came up with this cool idea.

Twins Getting Big

Oh how I love these faces.  They truly melt my heart and already have me wrapped around their finger.  I am trying to cherish the moments while I can.  I want them to be my babies forever but we all know they have to grow up and they are doing a good job of it.  Jade started crawling at 8 months old.  Davyn started at 9 1/2 months old.  They have both gotten really good of getting where they want to go and making sure they are in all the action.

Busy Semester

It's hard sometimes when life seems to be going so fast to stop and think about all that is happening and actually write it down so you don't forget it.  I want to record every aspect of my life so years down the road I can look back and remember all the moments that seem to be whizzing by and so I can appreciate all that we have accomplished.  I know that is not possible so here is a quick update on the happenings of our lives right now.

Trevor is in his 5 semester of Law School and is taking 3 classes.  He is working at the UFC for an internship program.  He studies from 7 to 9 in the morning, goes to work from 10 to 5:15, goes to school from 6 to 9, and then comes home eat and study some more.  Needless to say he is busy but he is really enjoying the work he is doing right now so it is worth it.

Me...mother to five kids, all of which have different schedules. It is a balancing act to try and get everything done but we are surviving.  I am trying to love the moments and quite frequently have to remind myself I can't do everything and I don't need to.  There is a time for everything and right now most of my time is spent changing diapers and feeding small children and not cleaning and having a perfect house.  I just got called as the Young Women's President in my ward so with that it brings new joy and struggles. 

KK...is in second grade and doing so well. She just got her report card and she got straight A's.  School comes pretty easy to her but she still tries hard to learn more and become better and faster.  She loves to read and learn about new things.  She is such a big help to me.  She has a soft heart and though she can give me attitude sometimes she genuinely wants to go whats right and tries to help me all she can.

Aidan is in kindergarten and is doing really well.  He loves to go everyday.  At his school, they have a sight word program to help motivate kids and after you learn so many words you earn a tag.  He just earned his first tag and couldn't be happier.  He loves to color and draw.  He also loves to build with Lego's and play the Wii. He would play the Wii all day if I would let him.  He is a softy and loves to entertain his twin younger brothers.  They smile so big when they see him.

Corbin is finally potty trained.  He had to have it happen on his time table but I am OK with that.  He is starting to listen and follow rules a lot better.  He loves to have his back tickled.  He loves to have books read to him. He is getting better at sitting during "homework" time as we go over his flashcards.  He loves to make the twins laugh but get jealous of them sometimes when he isn't getting all the attention which is understandable.  He is my monster but I could just snuggle him all day.

Davyn and Jade are getting so big.  They are 8 months old now. They love to sit up and watch all the kids play around them.  Jade started crawling around.  They love to eat real food and will just watch you while you eat.  They love baths.  They are such happy chill boys.  I just want to hold them all day.
