Aidan's Preschool Graduation

I am so grateful I have a sister that teaches preschool.  It truly has helped my kids grow and learn more than I could ever teach them.  Aidan loved preschool and was excited cause this year his best friend Gavin was in his class.  I loved it cause we carpooled with Gavin so I only had to drive one day.

Aidan was so excited for his preschool graduation.  He loved being able to dress up and show off all that he had learned over the last two years.  It was cute to watch.

Coming Home

The first couple of days home from the hospital were really nice.  Andrea kept my three older kids for two extra days so we could come home and adjust before we had the older three to take care of.

On the way home from the hospital, we stopped at Andrea's house so I could see the kids before we went home.

Here is Aidan loving his little brother, Jade

KK loving Davyn

Corbin was interested in them for about three seconds.before he wanted us to take them back.

Finally home...I love how they always have their hands above their head while they sleep

First night in their bed sleeping

They truly are two of a kind

KK had me take this picture so we could print it and she could take it to school to show her class.

They were a little jaundice so we had them hang outside for a couple of minutes and they loved it.
I am so blessed to have two more little boys to call me mommy!

Twins Birth

I was very nervous for the labor and delivery of the twins.  I was so nervous that I was going to have a C Section.  My doctor talked very confidently about how she thought everything was perfect and how she thought I would have no problem delivering them naturally, but they still had to plan and set up for a C section just in case.  Everything was fine and I had no real complaints until I hit 34 weeks.  At 34 weeks, I started swelling everywhere.  I couldn't sleep.  I was just so uncomfortable.  I started begging my Doctor to delivery me early.  My OBGYN was totally cool with that but my specialist wanted me to wait until I was 38 to 39 weeks.  I wasn't having it so I might of fibbed to my OBGYN that the specialist was cool with me being induced anytime after 36 weeks. So she set up for me to be induced 2 1/2 weeks early.  I was so happy when I got the call that everything had been set up at the hospital and I was to be at the hospital at 2pm on Thursday May 24th.

After the excitement of being able to have them early wore off, I started thinking about everything that could go wrong.  I was a nervous wreck until Trevor gave me a blessing.  In the blessing, I was promised everything would go smoothly and I would look back on the experience with fondness.  There were many times during the labor and delivery when I had to remind myself of that in order for me to calm down.

I showed up at the hospital at 2.  They got me into a room and I got changed.  They got me hooked up on the monitors and asked me all the usual questions.  They checked me and I was 4cm and 80% effaced.  They started my PIT drip around 4:30.  At 7 they gave me my epidural, not because I needed it for pain, but because the doctor was there so why not. I could still feel half of my lower body so they moved me to my side.  At 8 they checked me and broke my water.  I was still the same as before...4cm and 80% effaced.  At 8:30, I could still feel half my lower body so I started complaining about being uncomfortable.  She decided to check me and good thing she did cause I went from 4 cm to 10cm and was fully effaced in 30 minutes.  They baby was right there and they said I was ready.  They called the doctor and then brought me to the Operating Room.  They said it was just a precaution in case I had to have and emergency C section.

Once I got to the O.R. they prepped me and got everything set up.  We then waited about 20 minutes for the Doctor to show up, but once she got there everything went quickly.  One push and Davyn was born at 9:38.  She then had to break Jade's water.  He was breech so she grabbed his feet and pulled him out feet first.  He had the cord wrapped around his neck so he wasn't breathing when he came out but that only last a few seconds. He was born at 9:40.

Here is Trev's self picture

I am so blessed to have my family complete!

Before the Hospital

Being pregnant with twins was not as hard as I thought it was going to be...well physically anyways.  One of the most annoying parts was hearing how big I was on a daily basis.  Looking back at pictures I realize I was really big but still who wants to hear that everyday.

This picture was taken 8 hours before the twins were born.

The last picture taken of us as parents of three kids.

Andrea watched our kids while we were in the hospital and then kept them for an additional three days to let us rest and get settled in.  I am so grateful for her and for this time we had to just focus on the twins.

When we left for the hopsital this is how we left our kids.....soaking up the sun in the pool.

I am so blessed to have family who love my kids just as much as I do!
