Sisters Night Out

I am such a lucky girl to have so many sisters.  I really don't know what I would do without them.  I might not talk to them all the time but no matter how long it is in between out talks when we get back together it is like no time is lost at all.  They are truly my best friends I can tell anything to and they still love me.

My sister came into town from North Carolina so we all met up for a Sisters Night Out.  We met at BJ's and ended up eating way to much.  If you can't tell from our 7 pizookies....

It was so good that Trista licked her plate clean....literally!

Next, we went to my mom's house and toilet papered her house.  She was getting married the next Saturday and we wanted to show her us support.
This is what happens when someone shouts out gangster right before the picture

and of course our standard butt shot

We stopped and got Slurpee's on the way to the park where we played tag and sat and talked before we got tired and had to go home.

At the park, Trista had to pee so she dropped her pants.  What is a girls night with out seeing some one's butt?
Don't ask where this face came from but I miss seeing it now that she lives in North Carolina.
It was so much fun.  I can't wait until our next one!

Utah Trip part 2

Saturday was a fun filled day.  We went to Park City to go on the Alpine slides.  Kennedy had a backpack that was really a harness to keep kids close.  Of course, KK and Aidan love it.  Aidan puts it on and KK leads him around.  They change is name to Steve, and the rest of our time up there he makes us call him that.

Here they are posing for a picture

My love of my life

While we waited in line for the next ride, the kids went on the merry go round.

We finished the day by going on the roller coaster.  Andrea stayed off and watched the little kids so we could go.

After Park City, we went to Kobe Sushi.  Trev loves this show called Man vs Food.  On a particular show, this guy has a sushi challenge.  He has to eat 8 pieces of extremely hot sushi.  Ever since then Trev had wanted to do it so while we are in SLC we decide he might as try to do it.

It's called the Hell Fire Challenge

This is pre challenge....

This is before first bite

He ate one piece and spit it out.  He said it wasn't the heat that kept him from doing it.  It was the taste. He said it tasted like rancid chipolte.  He was so disappointed.  He talked about it for days afterwards.
Whit and Nick live in a cul de sace so we spent our evenings out side watching the kids ride their bikes up and down the street.  It was a fun trip.  The kids enjoyed being up there with such nice weather.  Can't wait until we can do it again!

Utah Trip part 1

We have been trying to get anything and everything done that we need or want to do before Trev starts Law School.  He starts in a couple of weeks.  So we decided we needed to plan a family trip since it will probably be the last one for a couple of years.  We wanted to go to the beach in Cali, but Aidan was set that he wanted to see his cousin Crew.  So we took a family vote and to Crew's house it was. The trip was much needed.  It was nice to leave our world behind and enjoy time together for a couple of days.

The car trip up went smoothly. We only had to stop once for lunch/bathroom break/stretch our legs.  We ate our lunch in the back of our "I still love it so much" car.

I don't know how people took trips before DVD players were invented but it makes our trips possible.  I love how Corbin's asleep but is still holding KK's hand.
About 10 minutes from Whit's house is this cool little park with a river and fountain running through it that the kids can play in.  Its only about 4 inches deep but that water entertained the kids for hours.
Here's KK and Indie hanging out
Corbin trying to drink the water
Aidan running through the fountains

Crew and Aidan chasing each other

KK loved to pretend she was peeing in the fountain

Cheese!!!

Corbin begging for food from a perfect stranger

After our fun in the sun, we stopped and got Hawaiian Ices.  They were delicious!!!!

Corbin loved being the "cool" dude

Pioneer Days

It's that time of year again.  It's the Pioneer Day Celebration.  My kids love it cause there is so much to do and I love it cause it's so cheap.  It was actually not that hot this year.  Usually I want to die cause it's so hot but this year there was a nice breeze so I didn't mind.

Here is daddy and Corbin hanging out

One of the few times I saw KK since she was always running off with Cody to play the games.  You can see on her cheek the face painting she got.  It was a cake.

Aidan playing with his buddies.  He could care less about the games.  He stayed here most of the night just hanging out with them.  In this picture he is using the branch to pretend he is an elephant.
It was a fun night but to finish it off right they had a fireworks show.  It was awesome....way better than the 4th of July.

My kids are already asking about next year.

Art and Drama Camp for KK

We signed KK up for a week of summer camp. Her two friends from New York, Ella and Paisley, did too!  In the morning they had art and in the afternoon they had drama. She loved it but I am glad it was only for a week because of how much it wore her out.  She would talk about all the things she loved but by the end of the night she was grumpy. On Friday they had a presentation of all the things they did that week.

At first they showed us all of their art projects

then they put on a presentation of what they learned in drama.  The younger kids performed to music.  It was so cute seeing her do all the old school dance moves.

Towards the end of the presentation, KK and Ella were partnered up and they took turns being each others arms while trying to do the same moves to the dances.

Here are all the art projects KK did that week.

This is daddies all time favorite....he wouldn't stop talking about how awesome it was.
She talks about wanting to do it next year....I guess we will see!

CiCi's Pizza

We had our ward playgroup this month at CiCi's Pizza.  The kids were given a tour of the restaurant and shown how the pizzas are made.  Afterwards, the kids were able to make their own pizzas and name them.  I think the name them came up with is happy face....cause they made a happy face out of pepperoni.  Aidan loved that KK wasn't there so he could get all the attention from Haleigh. KK was at her art/drama camp.

This is how Tina entertained Corbin while the kids made their pizza.
We got to stay afterwards and eat the buffet.  It was actually really good.

Following in Brothers Footsteps

I love watching my kids grow up but it is like deja vu sometimes when they like to do something their sibling liked to do at the same age.

Corbin loves to climb up on the counter and sit in the sink. If I see he has gone missing, I know I will find him here

Aidan used to climb up on my kitchen counter and my bathroom counter. He thought it was the best thing to do.
It makes me kind of sad to realize how grown up Aidan is now compared to Corbin.  Time truly goes by fast. I love my boys!!!!!

Besties

Last Monday, I meet up with my two "besties".  I have known Julianne from birth and Karisa we meet in 6th grade.  We went to breakfast at the Cracked Egg and then went to the Aliante Hotel pool.  It was nice to just relax with no kids and talk.

I am grateful for them.  It doesn't matter how long we don't talk cause when we do it's like picking right up from where we left off.  I truly love them and thankful for their friendship.

Stay"cation"

I am one lucky girl.  I have the best in laws in the world.  They took all 3 of my kids for 4 days so Trev and I could have a stay"cation".  Instead of going on vacation and coming back exhausted, we decided to stay here and do all the things we would do if we didn't have kids.  The kids were gone from Wednesday night until Sunday night.

Our Stay"cation" included.....

* Eating at the Charcoal Room.  They have the best black bean and cheddar cheese soup.

* Going to the movies.....we saw Transformers 3 and The Green Lantern.  Transformers 3 was awesome.  I love the comedy in it.

*Golfing...it was hot but there was a nice breeze.

* Shopping a lot.  We went and got all the things we have been needing but haven't wanted to get with 3 kids in tow.  We also got a lot of our kids Christmas shopping done since we will be jobless.

* Staying up late and sleeping in late

*Hanging out and enjoying the quiet

*Playing Risk...which I dominated

It was a very nice and relaxing 4 days but I was ready to get my kids back.  It made me realize how much joy and entertainment they bring me.  I love being their mommy.

It also made me realize how much I love Trevor.  He is my best friend and it's nice to know that when our kids grow up and are gone we will still have things to talk about and still like being around each other.  We will have been married 7 years next month and I am so thankful for everyday I have been married to him.  I love you BABE!!!!!
