Birthdays mixed with Sickness

Trevor's birthday, my birthday, and Valentines Day are only 5 days apart, so each year we usually celebrate them together.  Well this year sickness was also thrown into the mix.  It started with Corbin and Kaitlyn but before the week was up we all had it.  Let's just say it was less than exciting. My birthday was on Wednesday so Trev made me homemade chicken fettuccine alfredo and we saved our going out until Trev's birthday which was Friday. We had to load ourselves up on Tylenol so we felt good enough to go out, but we did go out.  We went and ate Pho and then we went shopping for clothes.  It was so nice to shop with out three little kids running around.

The kids picked out Trev's presents which were socks and a tie.  Aidan picked out a sweet black and grey tie while KK picked out some cool black and purple socks.

I can't believe I am 29 and Trev is 28.  We are getting old.  I am not looking forward to the Big 3-0 next year.

T Rex Hair

Daddy's and Aidan's favorite hair cut on Aidan's is his T Rex hair.  So every now an again I give in and let Trev cut it.

He lets me style his hair with no complaints so it makes it my favorite hair cut because I don't have to fight with him. I never thought my 3 year old boy would be telling me how he wants his hair done...but when you have the dad he does...it makes sense.

Sleeping Babies

Every now and again I like to go into my kids room and watch them sleep. I want to remember when they were little because I am realizing more and more that they grow up fast.  I want to take in images of their little angel faces.

Mini Grand Prix

My kids look forward each year to the Annual Birthday Party that Micheal and Victoria have at the Mini Grand Prix.  Everytime we pass by it my kids will ask how many more months until their birthday.  It is going to be sad when they get older and don't want to have their birthday party there anymore.  I guess someone else will have to pick up the tradition.

I forgot my camera so these are the pictures I bummed off other people.

I love Aidan's eyes in this picture.  This is Aidan with his cousin Alanna.

More Silly Faces

Happy Birthday Micheal, Victoria, and Casey. Thanks for always having an awesome party.

I think this year was the most fun just because my kids were old enough to do a lot on their own.  They loved the racing down the slides.  Only 11 more months until next year!!!!

Walking Boy

It's Official...my baby is walking.  He is 14 1/2 months old.  I am happy and sad all at the same time.  I loved how long he stayed a baby.  KK walked at 10 1/2 months and Aidan walked at 12 1/2 months.  Once they started walking they wanted nothing to do with me.  I love how much Corbin needed me but didn't at the same time.

Now that he is walking he can get into more stuff.  He loves to come in the laundry room with me while I am doing laundry.  We have a front loading washer so he will sit and watch the washing machine go around and around forever.

He tries to mimic me.  I can't wait until he can really help me do laundry.
I love this age.  I love seeing them explore the world.  I love seeing them start to understand how things work.  I love the balance of how much he still needs me with how much he can do on his own.  I love this little boy!

Christmas Present Date

For Christmas this year I told Trev I wanted a cool date night out with him.  It happened 2 weeks after Christmas but the best things in life are worth waiting for and this night was definitely worth it's wait.

We started our date off with eating Krazy Sushi.  I have been craving it for months so finally I got my fill.  It was sooooo good.  We then got some frozen yogurt before we headed to our show.

Trev got us show tickets to "KA".  I had heard it was so good but knew nothing about it.  It was amazing.  At first I was a little lost not knowing what was really going on but before long I got into it. It was hilarious all the while being so entertaining.  I would recommend this show to anyone.
We ended the night with getting some Slurpee's and coming back to our house to chill and watch some Psych.  I have to say I don't think I could of planned a better date.

I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband.  I love him so much!!!!!

Disney on Ice

I have never been to Disney on Ice before but Santa thought KK would love it this year so he bought her tickets.  Of course they were opening night tickets so they were only 10 bucks each.  Can't beat that...Santa is a bargain shopper!!!

The kids were so excited to go.  We made a whole night of it.  We found a babysitter for Corbin so the rest of us could enjoy the night.  We ate PHO for dinner (my children's request with a little help from their dad).  We went to 7 11 and picked up some treats before we headed to our show.  We got there a little early so luckily we had candy to hold them over.  Once it began they were captivated by it.  I loved seeing their faces every time something new came out.

Before the show...

During the show....I don't remember Aidan yelling but obliviously he did.  His face is so red.  I love this picture.

Mine and Trev's favorite part was the Nightmare before Christmas skit.

KK's favorite part was the princesses

Of course, Aidan's favorite part was Toy Story.

It was so cool.  We will definitely be going back next year.

My BOY

I love this little guy.  He has grown up so much in these last couple of months.  He is mastering anything I give him.  He has learned 12 letters and their sounds, all his colors, and most of his shapes.  He knows how to spell his name and is getting pretty good at writing it.  He loves to play the Wii (which a couple of months ago he couldn't figure out).  He plays all the time by himself while KK is at school.  He is a great cleaner and helper. He loves his brother (sometimes a little to much).  He will do anything to get KK's attention and to make her happy even if it means giving up his toy.  He still needs his naps or he becomes a monster around 4pm. He likes to help me cook (if I let him).  He is constantly cracking is up with the things he says.  I try not to laugh but I don't always succeed when it is something not very appropriate. I just love him so much!!!!!
I am so grateful that he is my BOY!!!!

Waite Christmas

Our wonderful day ended at G Ma and Papa's house.  We went over and started with having a delicious Mexican dinner.  I always eat way to much at their house.  We then opened presents.  My kids got spoiled like they always do.

Aidan excited about his Iron man toys

KK showing off her cute new clothes.

Trev was our permanent video guy since he couldn't move with his knee.

Great Grandma and Grandpa were there.

Corbin was asleep when the rest of us opened gifts so he opened his last.

I love this picture

Our one and only family Christmas picture
We ended the night with the kids watching a movie while the adults played games.  Andrea had extra presents so we played a white elephant with a twist.  We played spoons and the winner got to open a present.  The next winner could either open another present or steal a previous present already open.  It was so much fun.  We are starting a tradition.  Instead of exchanging presents with each other.  We will bring presents for this game.
We also played the Alice in Wonderland game Trev got for Christmas.  I was so much fun, but by the time we finished it was almost midnight.
The next day we were tired but it was well worth it.  I can't wait for next year!!!!

Slack Christmas

The Slack Christmas was at our house this year.  We get together at 10am for breakfast and games.  We had omelets, pancakes, sausage, and cinnamon rolls. Afterwards, we played Minute to Win it games.  Trev and I came up with the game after watching a game show.  The kids(and most adults) loved it.
We started with a candy cane game.  You see how many candy canes you can pick up with the candy cane you are holding in your mouth.

Austin was our champ.  He got 18 in one minute.

We then played "jingle balls".  You have a tissue box filled with ornaments(or bells) belted on your waist backwards (so it's over your butt).  You have to move and jiggle to get all the ornaments out.  As you can see, Tina and Tami had the most fun with this one.

This game is the "Rudolph the Red nose Reindeer" game.  You put vaseline on your nose and you have a ball hanging out of your mouth that you have to bounce up to stick to the vaseline.  I was surprised how many kids were actually able to do it.

We finished the day off with having a white elephant gift exchange. We changed it a couple of years ago to just have the kids do it cause the adults would get a little crazy.  It has helped alot.  KK got candy.  She was not very happy.  I think I am the only parent whose child would not be excited about candy.  KK ended up exchanging it with Brooklynn for chalk and doodle books.

Aidan got bubble bath stuff.  He was happy.

My kids had so much fun hanging out with their cousins and playing games but we still had more fun in store on our Christmas Day
